Parade Ceasefire Yesterday, Putin ordered Russian troops to halt military operations in Ukraine from 00:08 on May 8 to 00:11 on May 11, that is, for three days. One wonders why these humanitarian considerations are so brief, why they are so small. Why, based on humanitarian reasons, not just end the war altogether? Of course, waiting for an explanation from the Kremlin is futile. At least, I did not find one on the Kremlin’s website. Moreover, the announcement naturally included a threat of an “adequate and effective response” if the Ukrainian side does not follow Russia’s example.
